Leola Carter

Leola Carter is a native of Ferriday, Louisiana and has been a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana for over 30 years. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 1993 from Southern University School of Nursing.  She later became an Advance Practice Registered Nurse by  acquiring a Master's in Science of Nursing in 2011, from the same university. She obtained her board certification for  Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She spent the majority of her career as an emergency room Registered Nurse. Her professional memberships includes: National Kidney Foundation, Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
